Mom and Blake
Well little Blake finally decided to join our family on Friday, June 20th, 2008 at 4:29am (2 days early thanks to the doctor who helped further my contractions along, he stripped my membrane). Blake weighed 7lbs 9 oz and is 20 3/4 inches long. After my doctors appointment on Thursday my contractions were getting stronger and closer together, so finally once they were 2 mins apart we left for the hospital. I was admitted at 9:30 pm Thurs. night and was more comfortable once I received my epidural. The actual delivery of Blake went smooth and only lasted for 10 mins. We are excited that Blake is finally here and we are pleased that he seems to be a bit more content as a baby than big sister Tristen was. We survived our first night at home with Blake last night, he only woke up once at 1:00am for a feeding, and then briefly at 3:00am (for about 5 mins). About 6:00am Blake decided to start his day. He was a happy little camper just staring at everything around him. I am feeling a million times better this round, I have actually caught up on some of my sleep at this point and I think just knowing what to expect this round has taken a lot of stress off my mind. I am taking it one day at a time and we are planning on enjoying the next few days of family time. Here are a few pics we took over the past few days :)

Congratulations!! Kim, you look incredible for just having had a baby. I always wondered how it is that your hair doesn't frizz. . .
Enjoy your new little spirit in your family.
He's a cutie! We're glad that you're feeling so good....
so, you have had blake now for what over a week. how are you adjusting? are you getting much sleep? is tristen a big help or is she acting up?---okay, so the other day i was telling keith about the time you and brook made me a chocolate cake for my birthday. you gave me a piece and then shoved the plate in my face. do you remember this? i remember i didn't know how to react to what you had just done. i didn't know if i should be angry, get even or what. mostly i think i was just shocked about what you had just done. --anyway, those were some good times.--well, hope things are still going good for you.
Congrats!!!!!! Hey the kids and I will be in town for the month of july and will be visiting the Coopers in Naperville so we'll have to get together, it would be fun for the kids too. Wishing you all the best.
